Today, issues of gender
equalities have improved significantly in Ghana to the extent that the
country is currently having many women occupying top positions. We at
ECOG are very proud of this development taking place in our society
today since we took part in the campaign against discrimination of all
forms against women and are proud to recall a national campaign that
ECOG undertook to educate 30,000 youth and children in first and second
cycle institutions in Ghana.
As part of that campaign, the
project was programmed into five (5) phases as below:
Phase 1: Education and awareness
creation campaign.
Phase 2: Announcement and
circulation of a national gender awareness creation campaign essay
topic:
Phase 3: Recovering, marking and
grading of scripts.
Phase 4: Presentation of prizes to
the first 20 participants and consolation prize winners.
Phase 5: Evaluation and report
writing.
The education and awareness campaign
was a success as ecog youth neighborhood and school clubs took up the
matter to educate and spread the massage too all corners of the country.
